In the industrial sector, packaging is the set of containers used to package cosmetic and chemical products used in daily life. Packaging is essential in all sectors of industrial production. Indeed, these sectors can hardly do without the services and expertise of a packager for small and medium series because of the technicality and the investment for the machines. Let's discover together the different characteristics of packaging.

The different types of packaging

Packaging is a wrapper or container that is in direct contact with the product. There are several kinds of components necessary for the manufacture of a package. These depend strongly on the use of protection and preservation of the values of the products concerned.

Thus, we distinguish packaging made of materials such as :

- Two-component cartridge,
- Plastic laminated aluminum tubes,
- Secondary packaging,
- Packaging,
- Customized.

Two component cartridges

When it comes to adhesives, you can use the high quality cartridges and syringes. In the range, the packaging allows to fill standard volumes in 50ml; 200ml and 400ml. You have the choice of ratios for each volume between 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, and 1/10 depending on the characteristics of the product to be filled. The packaged cartridges and syringes are neutral, labeled with an inkjet identification mark. It is also possible to overpack and seal the cartridges in an aluminium bag for products sensitive to humidity.

The cartridges have the same main characteristics as the old ones, but the advanced version is equipped with a specific nozzle which allows an additional safety of the polymer. Indeed, the nozzle allows to easily close the packaging after use. However, we advise you to use only Sulzer Mixpac nozzles, the most reliable on the market for this type of packaging.

Plastic laminated aluminum tubes

Each type of tubing offers advantages depending on the product it is going to receive. Aluminum tubing offers maximum product protection due to its barrier and sealing qualities and is economical. Plastic tubes are resistant and aesthetic and laminated tubes are protective, resistant and aesthetic.
It is necessary to use tubes ranging from 13.5 to 50mm diameter for volumes from 5 to 300ml. Depending on the volume to be filled, the use and the type of product, there are specificities and adequate accessories.

Secondary packaging

A secondary packaging allows to protect a fragile product. In addition to the filling, a secondary packaging or overpackaging allows to obtain a product ready to sell.
The role of the packer is to transfer products in large containers (200l drums, IBCs, barrels) to small containers from 3ml to 30l. He fills all types of products, from the liquid state to a pasty or even very pasty state. The products that are often filled are: glues (epoxy, cyano, PU, neoprene, vinyl), lubricants (grease, oil), DIY products (plaster, sealants, paints), car products (renovator, cleaners, scratch remover, polish).
