The world's biggest student rally is set to take off on February 19, 2025.

Etraves, a company specializing in the packaging of industrial products, is accompanying two young people from Amiens on this extraordinary adventure across three countries (Spain, France and Morocco) to the dunes of the Sahara.

The 4L Trophy: a human and solidarity adventure

The 4L Trophy stands out from other rallies for its unique concept: an orienteering race reserved for 18-28 year-olds, with no timekeeping. Participants cross the desert following a road book, guided only by their compass.

Each evening, the crews meet up at the bivouac after a day of navigation through the trails. For its 29th edition, the rally offers twelve days of adventure, including a 48-hour stage in total autonomy. Rankings are based solely on distance covered, so crews advance at their own pace, passing through compulsory checkpoints before reaching Marrakech.

Thibault and Nathan: two students from Amiens take up the challenge

The "Les Dromadaires d'Amiens" crew brings together two complementary profiles: Thibault, 22, is preparing a master's degree in logistics, while Nathan, 23, is studying dentistry. United by their love of adventure, these two students from Picardy are pooling their skills to prepare for their participation in the 4L Trophy 2025.

To finance their project and bring their dream adventure to life, the Dromadaires d'Amiens have set up a communication strategy on Instagram (@lesdromadairesdamiens). Their account takes a behind-the-scenes look at their preparations and highlights the companies behind them. The two students offer different sponsorship formulas to finance their expedition: from a simple mention on their social networks to displaying their logo directly on their 4L.

Solidarity at the heart of the rally

The 4L Trophy combines sporting adventure with a concrete humanitarian mission through its partnership with the association Enfants du désert. Participants not only cross Morocco, they also contribute directly to improving the educational conditions of local children during their journey. Each crew brings with them school supplies, educational materials and sports equipment for distribution in the schools and villages they cross.

In France, the rally's solidarity dimension is extended through collaboration with the French Red Cross. Crews take part in fund-raising events, and raise awareness of the organization's actions among those around them.

The "Dromadaires d'Amiens" take this aspect of their adventure particularly seriously. In addition to their logistical and sporting challenges, Thibault and Nathan organize collections of school supplies from local schools and businesses. Their commitment is part of a wider effort to raise awareness of inequalities in access to education.

The impact of the 4L Trophy on local communities can be measured year after year: building schools, fitting out classrooms, creating libraries. In this way, participants become active players in local development, transforming their sporting adventure into a genuine solidarity project. Meeting local people and discovering their daily lives can leave a deeper impression on participants than the challenges they face in the desert!

Etraves and the 4L Trophy 2025

Etraves is supporting the " Dromadaires d'Amiens " in their participation in the 4L Trophy 2025. This decision was a natural fit with the values of a company which, since its creation in 1991, has placed local commitment at the heart of its priorities.

Specializing in the packaging of liquid and pasty products for industry, Etraves puts its expertise at the service of a new generation of entrepreneurs and adventurers. The decision to support Thibault and Nathan in their project illustrates the company's desire to contribute to the dynamism of the Picardy region.

See you on February 19, 2025 for the start of the 29th edition, when Thibault and Nathan will join the other crews for twelve days of adventure!
